Despite being a small town, Sayulita has a lot of different places to have a nice drink after a day of surfing or hiking. Second to surfing, Sayulita is also known for its nightlife and the large number of bars and places to enjoy with your friends. You can even just buy yourself a margarita almost on every corner on the street. However, if you want to enjoy a nice atmosphere and drinks of good quality we recommend you to check out the following bars in Sayulita:

Sayulita bars

Escondido Bar
C. Marlin 45A I @escondidobar

Although “escondido” translates into “hidden”, this bar is located really close to the main square of town. Nevertheless the atmosphere is really relaxed and cozy and it’s perfect to spend a night there with your friends. They even have board games that you can borrow, so much fun!

However, the two best things about the bar are definitely the cocktails and the staff. The carefully curated menu of craft cocktails is made with locally sourced ingredients to create perfect flavors and a local experience. Every drink is hand crafted and the staff can give you good recommendations or come up with new creations on the fly! Especially their manager Bernie, who is amazing and always makes you feel welcome!

LUCID bar
C. Marlín 18-A  I @lucidsayulita

Lucid has a really nice vibe as it is located on the main street and you can enjoy the ocean view from their outdoor seating area. You can find a nice mix between locals and tourists and they often have some live music or karaoke nights which are really fun!

Their specialties are their craft cocktails and mules using their house-brewed ginger beer. You should definitely try them. They also offer really tasty food so it’s the perfect place to start your night in Sayulita!

Cava Bar
Av. Revolución 54 I @cavasayulita

Cava’s specialties are definitely the agave spirits – they offer more than 30 different agave spirits which they bring directly from the producers. You can choose between a fun and unique list of Tequilas, Mezcals and Racillas. They are also the only place in Sayulita where you can get the traditional drink Pulque. Pulque is an alcoholic beverage made of fermented agave nectar made in Mexico since the pre-Columbian era. They offer pulque with different flavors – we especially like the one with passion fruit. Cava is a great little place with a cozy atmosphere and good music. Tip: go and sit at the little barstools and window overlooking the street below.

Of course there are more options to get good cocktails in Sayulita but these are the ones that in our experience offer the best quality drinks and atmosphere. Enjoy your night in Sayulita and don’t forget to drink water, especially during summer season 🙂
